The Bubble Ring is a sculptural sterling silver statement ring set with a lab grown ruby. Handmade to order and finished to a high polish, its rounded surface transforms solid metal into something that appears inflated, soft, and almost weightless.

The initial inspiration came from Kathleen Ryan’s Bacchante and the contrast created by a red half-dome surrounded by clustered, grape-like forms. That relationship became the starting point for a ring exploring softness, weight, and interruption.

Rather than placing the ruby above a conventional smooth band, the gemstone enters an already active surface. It interrupts the arrangement of rounded silver forms, while the surrounding forms compete for attention in return. The ruby becomes part of the composition instead of simply sitting on top of it.

The result is a study in contrast: a hard material shaped to appear soft, a polished surface broken by color, and a familiar gemstone ring transformed into a wearable object.

SIZING

The Bubble Ring has a substantial sculptural profile. Please select your usual ring size when ordering. If the band is especially wide or you are between sizes, consider ordering one-half size larger. Contact me if you need sizing assistance or require a size that is not listed.

CARE

Remove the ring before strenuous activity, cleaning, swimming, or working with chemicals. Store it separately to help protect the polished surface and gemstone. Sterling silver can be refreshed using a soft polishing cloth.
